EMTEQ Offers Passenger Service Unit without IFE

New Berlin, Wis., USA  – EMTEQ, a B/E Aerospace Company, has developed a solution for a standalone Passenger Service System - allowing the removal of the IFE while maintaining individual passenger flight attendant call and reading light control. This installation allows for significant weight savings for airlines that do not need IFE systems in their aircraft, but still want to maintain the features of the passenger control units.

This system consists of EMTEQ's CTS200 LRU to replace the IFE head end unit, Signal Processing Node (SPN) to replace the seat LRUs, and updated Passenger Control Units integrated in each seat. The EMTEQ Passenger Service System integrates with the aircraft's existing cabin system, providing minimal installation and operational impact to the customer.
