Emerson Demonstrates Complete Line of Total Water Solutions At AWWA 2006 to Provide Direction for the Future of Water Plants

IRVINE, Calif., June 12, 2006 - Emerson will demonstrate the industry's broadest product portfolio of water processing solutions at the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Conference, June 11-15, 2006, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, at booth number 3137. Today's water plants face a number of challenges ranging from maintaining the safety and security of water to new governmental regulations to growing demand and shrinking budgets, forcing operators to continually do more with less.

"The breadth of the Emerson solution line, including analytical and flow instrumentation, network power management and enterprise-wide integration systems, helps plants solve their unique processing issues as well as provide direction for the future of their water treatment needs," said John Wright, vice president of marketing, Rosemount Analytical Liquid Division of Emerson Process Management. "With over 60 years of experience in serving potable water plants, Emerson provides industry-leading accuracy and technologically advanced solutions to address the broad scope of ever-changing security, quality and operations demands on today's plant operators."

At the conference, Emerson Process Management divisions, Rosemount Analytical, Power and Water Solutions, Network Power, Mobrey, Bristol Babcock and Rosemount will demonstrate the company's complete portfolio of solutions. These include:

o Rosemount Analytical Model WQS - the industry's proven highest accuracy water quality and safety solution, verified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the monitoring and detection of a wide range of contaminants throughout the water distribution network.
o Rosemount Analytical measurement solutions for the analysis of pH and ORP, conductivity, temperature, chlorine, oxygen, and turbidity.
o Power and Water Solutions Ovation® expert control system optimizes plant operations as intelligent field devices deliver predictive diagnostic information to AMS" Suite applications through the integrated Ovation control system.
o Bristol ControlWave ExpressPAC automation system, a highly integrated pre-engineered package solution that combines the new ControlWave Express RTU with a variety of options commonly required in SCADA applications. ControlWave is a flexible process automation control system based on worldwide industry standards for programming and communications.
o Bristol ControlWave Express remote terminal unit (RTU) from Emerson, a versatile, compact, low-profile RTU with exceptionally low power consumption for remote installations that is ideally suited for the water and wastewater industries.
o Process instrumentation from Mobrey for reliable measurement and control of liquids, gases and dry products through monitoring of critical parameters such as level, density, viscosity and flow.
o Emerson Network Power's surge protection devices, Active Tracking® filters, and low-voltage product line. The location and layout of most wastewater treatment plants has facility managers concerned about the risk of equipment damage from line surges generated by lightning and noise produced by motors and other equipment. Emerson Network Power solutions provide the proper protection for AC panels, PLCs and instrumentation and prevent costly downtime.
o Industry-leading Rosemount pressure, temperature, flow and level instrumentation that enable unparalleled efficiency and safety in the process.
