EMCON® Line of TEMPEST and Secure Communications Products to Be Highlighted at CANSEC 2013


ORLANDO, FL – API Technologies Corp. CANSEC is Canada's largest defense and security tradeshow and will be presented May 29-30 at the Ernst & Young Center in Ottawa, Canada.



Products to be showcased include EMCON's line of TEMPEST notebook and desktop computers, printers/multifunction devices and peripherals, and complete all-inclusive fly-away communication kits. Products are available to meet TEMPEST, SDIP, and Zone requirements. TEMPEST products are available for purchase by the governments, governmental agencies, and government partners of NATO countries including the United States and Canada.

All TEMPEST Level I products meet the requirements of NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92, Level I; CID09/15A, Level I; and SDIP-27, Level A.TEMPEST Level II products meet the requirements of NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92, Level II; CID09/15A, Level II; and SDIP-27, Level B.

TEMPEST Printer Line

Announced last week, EMCON's new line of printers and multifunction devices include high-speed color solutions for networked and mobile applications. New to the line are TEMPEST versions of the HP® Color LaserJet Printer, Brother™ Color Inkjet Multifunction Printer/Scanner, and the HP Officejet Mobile Printer.



TEMPEST Monitors

Also to be showcased for the first time at CANSEC is the EMCON 24-inch Widescreen LCD Flat Panel Display. This TEMPEST Level I flat panel monitor can be ordered individually, or as part of a complete desktop solution. It features a narrow bezel monitor, an 8 millisecond response time, and 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.



TEMPEST Notebook and Desktop Computers

EMCON offers a complete line of desktop, thin client/zero client, and notebook/laptop computers. They are available to meet TEMPEST I and TEMPEST II standards and are designed to have the look and feel of a standard off-the-shelf computer. Ruggedized laptops are also available.

All-in-One Communications Kits & Mobile Hubs

EMCON also offers a series of communications suites including a Lightweight Communications Suite designed for on-the-go travel and a Secure Communications Hub for mobile, ad-hoc, rugged environments.



The EMCON Lightweight Communications Suite is a compact, fly-away kit that provides secure data connection to classified networks. It comes satellite-communication ready and is fully customizable featuring a TEMPEST laptop, video conferencing, and the ability to connect to a classified network from anywhere in the world. It meets the requirements for most airlines carry-on baggage policies.



The Secure Communications Hub provides a rugged, portable, secure communications facility using multiple bearers, perfect for ad-hoc, mobile or remote environments. It integrates accredited data transmission and data-at-rest encryption. It also provides for 3G or satellite (i.e., BGAN) connectivity where there is no fixed line access. The black-side ethernet port can also be used for fixed line networks, ADSL or through a wireless or radio modem.
