Emco Distributes Novus' Line of Plastic Cleaners!!
This week Emco reminds our customers that you can keep your acrylic and polycarbonate windows, guards, sign holders, tabletops, plaques, awards, and other fabricated items clean and prestine with Novus' line of plastic polishes.
Normal household cleaners that are alcohol or ammonia based can attack these plastics and cause them to craze and become hazy. Novus # 1 is a polish that gently cleans plastics without scratching or crazing them. It leaves a lustrous shine that resists fogging, repels dust, and eliminates static. Plastics like Plexiglas and Lexan are cost effective alternatives to glass that weigh less, cost less, and resist impact and shattering better than glass. The disadvantage with these materials is that they can scratch easily. Novus # 2 and Novus # 3 address this problem. A fine scratch remover and a heavy scratch remover, these two compounds can be used together to buff scratches out of plastic surfaces. They will reduce haziness and restore faded, discolored plastics.
