AXIOMTEK Introduces Energy-Saving 3.5-inch Embedded Board with Intel® Atom(TM) N270 and DualView Display - SBC84831
February 17, 2009 - AXIOMTEK has announced the release of the SBC84831 3.5-inch embedded SBC with Intel® Atom(TM) N270 processor. The single board computer incorporates an ultra low-power Intel® Atom(TM) N270 processor up to 1.6 GHz with a 533 MHz FSB and the latest Intel® 945GSE+ICH7M chipset, which offers an excellent balance between high performance and low power consumption. The Mobile Intel® 945GSE Express chipset comes with the Generation 3.5 Intel® Integrated Graphics Engine, and the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950, which provides enhanced graphics support over the previous generation graphics and memory controller hubs. Measuring 102 mm x 146 mm, the SBC84831 is ideal for rugged and compact applications including digital signage, kiosks/POI, thin clients, digital surveillance, and industrial control.
The SBC84831 supports CRT (2048 x 1536) and LVDS LCD (1600 x 1200) dual-view displays. One DDR2 SODIMM on board implements up to 2GB of system memory. This 3.5-inch embedded platform comes with advanced connectivity and expansion interfaces including six COM ports (RS-232), four Hi-speed USB 2.0 ports, dual Gigabit LAN ports, one CompactFlash(TM) Type II socket, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, AC'97 Codec audio, two SATA-150 ports, and Digital I/O. Two highly integrated Realtek RTL8111B 10/100/1000 Ethernet controllers feature remote wake-up function to increase cost-efficiency in network maintenance and management. A watchdog timer is included to keep system running smoothly. Moreover, the system only requires +12V DC input.
