Rugged 486DX and 386SX Embedded Computers Added to Parvus' PC/104 SpacePC® CPU Line

SpacePC® 2200, 2110, and 2100 Series CPU Boards Offer Low-Cost, Low-Power Solutions for Embedded Computer Systems with Demanding Operational Requirements

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - February 19, 2004 - Parvus® Corporation today announced three new rugged CPU boards in its SpacePC® line of embedded PC/104 computers - the SpacePC 2200, 2110, and 2100 Series CPUs. Built around a 75MHz 486DX or 40MHz 386SX architecture, these nimble, highly functional PC/104 computers offer distinct design advantages for compact, x86-based systems used in aerospace, industrial medical, military, and transportation applications.

FEATURES
Similar to Parvus' other SpacePC Single Board Computer (SBC) modules, the 2200, 2110 and 2100 Series models operate fanless (passive cooling), have soldered RAM memory onboard (for ruggedness), deliver low power consumption (3-7W), and can be extended temperature rated (-40ºC to +85ºC). All three models offer standard PC peripheral interfaces, integrated for non-volatile Flash DiskOnChip® memory, and a preloaded ROM-DOS(TM) kernel to facilitate rapid implementation.

The SpacePC 2200 Series integrates an STPC® 486DX 75MHz processor, SVGA video controller, 10/100 Ethernet controller, four serial ports, IDE, floppy, parallel, and keyboard ports. The 2110 Series and SpacePC 2100 Series modules, alternatively, are based on the fastest Intel 386SX class controller (ALi M6117C 40MHz) and integrate up to 4 serial ports, an IDE controller, floppy, parallel, and keyboard ports. The 2110 Series is available with an onboard Ethernet controller, 16 general-purpose DIO channels, and two CAN 2.0B ports.

For first-time users seeking rapid, out-of-the-box implementation, each of these compact (3.550" x 3.775") CPU boards is available in a pre-assembled hardware development kit. A limited number of free 30-day evaluation kits are available for the SpacePC 2110 CPU, as well as for Parvus' 586 and Pentium® class boards. Visit www.spacepc.com for more information about the CPU line.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
These products are currently in stock and priced from $193 to $327/each in volume orders of 100+ units.
