Encirq announces the Encirq 3e Telematics Edition
First Embedded Data Management System for building Telematics Devices
SAN FRANCISCO - January 21, 2004 - Encirq Corporation announced today that it has released the Encirq 3e Telematics Edition. The Encirq 3e Telematics Edition is the first embedded data management solution that enables telematics device developers to rapidly create a broad range of applications specifically for telematics devices. The Encirq 3e Telematics Edition has 80% of the core data management functionality already developed and tested, so developers can cut months out of their development schedule gaining time-to-market, reducing costs and increasing system reliability and data integrity.
The Encirq 3e Telematics Edition includes the full Encirq 3e Data Management Suite as well as the new Encirq 3e Telematics Reference Pack. The Encirq 3e Suite allows developers to generate custom, application-specific data management components as inline C-language source code. Using a simple, extensible, industry standard-based, data logic language, system designers specify what the data is, how to use it, and where it is located, and the source code that implements that exact program and data logic is generated.
The Encirq 3e Telematics Reference Pack includes a collection of source code modules and APIs that allow developers to rapidly create software that manages contacts (or other assets), events, and preferences (or other configuration information) in their applications. Developers simply customize the code in the pack to form the framework of their application. Potential applications could include schedulers, address books, calendars, dispatch systems, to-do lists, and system control panels. Designed for a wide range of devices, the Encirq 3e Telematics Reference Pack can be used to develop consumer navigation systems, commercial transportation dispatch systems, or even mobile phones.
