Trend Micro Introduces Managed Email Security Services Offering for Small and Medium Businesses



Trend Micro's New Hosted, Managed Security Services for the Messaging Gateway Includes a Unique Management Console, Ideal for Channel Partners to Better Support Customers

CUPERTINO, Calif., May 22 -- Trend Micro Incorporated (NASDAQ:TMIC), a leader in network antivirus and Internet content security software and services, today in North America announced Email Security Services, a comprehensive hosted email protection service that provides a cost-effective alternative to managing onsite hardware or software at the messaging gateway for small and medium businesses.

Trend Micro(TM) Email Security Services were developed specifically with the small and medium business (SMB) in mind. This service protects their network and infrastructure by stopping threats before they reach the customer's gateway. For organizations with limited IT staff, Email Security Services provide worry-free security with an easy-to-use web-based administration console. In addition to detailed reports on threats blocked, content filtering settings and policy management options, this service offers a unique mail tracking tool that allows the administrator to quickly locate and determine the status of any message received by the system.

A reseller management console is offered for value-added resellers that enables them to manage their customers' messaging environment on their behalf. They can monitor service effectiveness, generate reports, and create and manage policies to implement group or user-specific rules, or to meet corporate compliance requirements. This is an especially valuable tool for Trend Micro's channel partners since it enables them to implement 'best practice' security policies as well as to provide the right balance of support for their customers.
