Electronics Terminals feature dual-gauge materials.

Press Release Summary:

ETCO Specialty Terminals featuring dual-gauge materials can combine 2 functions, such as rigid tab or connector with formable ear section mating end. They are suitable for designing terminals and connectors incorporating multiple bends and forms. Allowing engineers to specify parts 0.032 in. thick on one end and 0.016 in. thick at other end, units can be fabricated from any alloy in sizes from 0.008-0.900 in. thick with ±0.002 in. tolerances.

Custom Electronic Terminals: Dual Gauge Material Eliminates Multiple Parts

A new stamping technology that combines two material thicknesses for forming electronic terminals and connectors which previously required multiple parts is being introduced by ETCO Incorporated of Warwick, Rhode Island.

ETCO Specialty Terminals featuring dual gauge materials can combine two functions that were previously unavailable in a single part, such as a rigid tab or connector with a formable "ear section" mating end. Suitable for designing terminals and connectors incorporating multiple bends and forms, this technology saves metal, reduces labor, and eliminates multiple parts.

Allowing design engineers to specify parts 0.032" thick on one end and 0.016" thick at the other, ETCO Specialty Terminals can be fabricated from virtually all alloys in sizes from 0.008" to 0.900" thick with ±0.002" tolerances, depending upon materials and design requirements.

ETCO Specialty Terminals are priced according to materials, design, and quantity; with minimum 500,000 parts annual production. Price quotations are available upon request.
