Original Press Release:

New High-Security Electronic Lock Systems Added to CyberLock Family

CORVALLIS, OREGON - Videx announces CyberLock EntryPoint(TM) and CyberAudit-Web® Lite, two new CyberLock systems. EntryPoint is a hardware-only system that requires no programming software. It is ideal for companies that need a simple yet effective electronic lock system with cylinders that cannot be picked, and keys that cannot be duplicated. CyberAudit-Web Lite is designed for EntryPoint users that want to add the ability to set access schedules and view an audit trail from the locks and keys.

EntryPoint is comprised of CyberLocks, CyberKeys, and a Grand Master key. The Grand Master contains a unique family code. It is used to program locks with this unique code by touching the front of the CyberLocks. CyberKeys are programmed with the family code by infrared communication between the Grand Master and the CyberKey. The keys are given 24-hour, 7-days a week access to the locks within the system.

With CyberAudit-Web Lite, users are able to add access scheduling and view audit events stored within the keys and locks. A Lite system uses an IR Encoder which is an infrared port with USB connection. The IR Encoder is used for communication to the Videx service web site. Managers log on to the web site to set schedules in the keys, and view event logs from the locks and keys. Users pay a monthly service fee based on the number of locks and keys within their system.

CyberLock cylinders replace existing mechanical door hardware, and do not require any hard-wiring. There are over 80 different types of cylinders currently in production, which can be used in a wide variety of applications including interior and exterior doors, safes, server cabinets, and padlocks.
