Revolutionary "Green" Electronic Lock Now Offers "Audit Trail" Without Wires or Batteries
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., -- Kaba Access Control announces that it has enhanced the E-Plex 2000 Series electronic pushbutton lock, to include additional features and options. These include a self-powered version with Audit Trail that requires no batteries or wires.
According to Rick Shuford, CRL and Kaba's product trainer, "Our E-Plex 2000 Series has always been one of our best-selling locks. The PowerStar(TM) version delivers a full-featured design that requires no batteries and no wires, so users eliminate the cost and inconvenience of battery replacement and pinched or damaged wires that can occur over time. We've integrated patented technology to power the lock with each rotation of the lever and three through bolts for securing the lock to the door."

The E-Plex 2000 Series is available with Cylindrical, Mortise and Exit Trim options. It offers the flexibility of manual programming at the lock, or via computer using optional software. The lock is also BHMA Grade 1 Certified, as well as ROHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and ADA compliant. Other programmable features include, passage, lockout, tamper shutdown, and service codes.
