Electronic Chamfer Gage with Universal SPC
BARCOR, inc., Deerfield, IL, introduces their all-new Series-II Electronic CHAMFER GAGE. While retaining the popular features of their original Electronic CHAMFER GAGE, BARCOR's engineers have added many new desired features.
This new self-contained gage requires no external power and like the original, directly reads the major diameter of chamfered, countersunk, tapered or straight through holes. Merely inserting the gage into the part instantly displays its true, real world size.
Additional features include finer resolution of .0002" (.005mm) along with greater accuracy and repeatability. For those not requiring such a fine resolution a feature allows the operator to select .0005" (.01mm) or .001"(.025mm). All models are equipped with three types of SPC outputs. Standard RS232, Present BCD Parallel, and Pseudo RS232 (Mitutoyo Type) output.
Factory calibrated and preprogrammed "Set To" zeroing numbers are locked with a clever feature which prevents operators from inadvertently changing the settings. A simple ON/OFF switch sets and readies the gage. Power if furnished by two user replaceable batteries. Additionally external power can also be furnished by an A/C Adapter or through a data port when a data collector or computer is employed.
User programmable features include Inch/Metric conversion, Incremental Measuring Mode, Comparative Reading Mode (+/- from Zero), Display or Freeze Hold, TIR where the gage reads the total indicator reading (the difference between the highest and lowest readings), Travel Reverse to enable use of same indicator for ID and OD chamfers, Zero Setting, Tolerancing, Auto On/Off, Peak Hold and Feature Lock.
With its wide appeal, this Electronic CHAMFER GAGE is ideal for both the shop as well as the gage lab. All of BARCOR's 320 standard Models are available in the Electronic Digital version, including Carbide Models as well as External Type OD for male tapers, bevels, chamfers and corner breaks. A factory retrofit service is also available to convert analog gages to full Digital Electronic Models.
