Cabinet Range Features 192 Standard Models, High Performance Screening Options and Customization Service

Consistent styling and an extensive accessory range simplify configuration and upgrades

TUCKER, GA June 16, 2004 -- Optima EPS announces the RA/RC series cabinets, featuring 192 standard models across 19" and 24" widths, and available in eleven standard colors.

Three standard depths and eight heights from 12 U to 44 U meet a wide range of mounting and cable access requirements. The flush mounted side panels feature labor-saving assembly, and while the lift-off doors of the RA series extend beyond the frame, the RC series features a virtually flush door fit, giving a "shadow box" look. Despite the light-weight aluminum construction, all cabinets are rated to 6,600 lb static load.

The screened variants (SA and SC) provide high performance screening with 40 dB to 50 dB of headroom over the FCC Class A limit, and can be mixed with unscreened models because of their identical appearance.

The unique Optima 3-point locking system combines high closing force for maximum shielding, with easy operation thanks to needle bearings and nylon rollers. Optima's consistent styling extends to all accessories, ensuring versatile initial configuration and easy upgrades if required, backed by a full customization service.

In addition to fans, fan trays, blowers and ventilation options, including honeycomb screened models, the power distribution options include a UL-recognized distribution and control system which provides EMI/RFI filtering, overload and multi-stage transient protection, plus remote power on/off and emergency shutdown that can be easily cascaded to other controllers or cabinets.

Accessories include side-by-side and spaced multi-bay connector kits, normal and heavy duty mounting rails, slides, shelves and 28 different writing surfaces. Special drawer units are available to ensure maximum shielding integrity.

Pricing for assembled cabinets starts at $1000, depending on type, options and quantity, with a lead time of 2 weeks ARO.
