New Makita 7 Inch Electronic Angle Grinder For Maximum Power And Comfort
May 24, 2005 - LA MIRADA, CALIF. - Makita USA, Inc., manufacturer of professional quality power tools and accessories, has announced the launch of its new 7" electronic angle grinder, model GA7001L. This new grinder has a heavy-duty 15 AMP motor capable of a no load speed of 6,000 RPM for high production and continuous use, yet only weighs 7.5 pounds. Innovative features such as electronic speed control for maintaining speed under load and a soft start feature for smoother start-ups, this grinder offers professionals superior quality.
The GA7011C grinder features a labyrinth construction that seals the motor and bearings from contamination by creating a complex set of channels for extended life of the tool. In addition, the motor is sealed by a protective zig-zag varnish which prevents contamination by creating a barrier under rotation. For increased durability and added protection, the new grinder has a rugged all-metal gear housing.
The GA7011C comes equipped with a tool-less rotating gear housing that can be positioned at 90° intervals to match the most demanding applications such as cutting. An easy-to-operate large spindle lock button for added convenience. This new grinder weighs only 7.5 lbs., over three pounds less than the competition, for increased comfort and continuous use. The combination of 15 AMP power and low weight give the GA7011C a significantly larger power-to-weight ratio. Another remarkable feature is an AC/DC switch giving the user the option to use the grinder with alternative power sources.
