Electromagnetic Conveyors are dust- and moisture-resistant.

Press Release Summary:

Impulse(TM) electromagnetic conveyors incorporate solid-state controllers that can adjust amplitudes from 0 to 100 percent by pressing one button. S-models suit small scale, accurate metering; low frequency models suit conveying sticky products; and L-models suit larger applications. Oil-free, magnetic powered drive has no sliding or rotating parts, belts, or bearings. Conveyors range in size from 2 to 36 in. wide and from one to 14 ft long.

Key Technologies Expands Impulse Line of Conveyors

Key Technology has added three, new models to expand the Impulse(TM) line of electromagnetic conveyors. Impulse conveyors provide maximum control flexibility. A low maintenance, solid-state controller can make amplitudes from zero to 100 percent with the touch of button, easily accommodating a wide range of products.

Impulse is ideal for product mixing lines, ingredient feeding, scale feeding, and other applications where accurate control and precise metering is required. The smaller S-models are ideal for small scale, accurate metering such as seasoning potato chips or filling tins of chewing tobacco. The larger L-models have found widespread use in the wine industry, precisely and gently metering grapes into the de-stemmer/crusher. All low frequency models, regardless of capacity, are ideal for conveying sticky products such as pre-cut lettuce.

The simplicity of a magnetic powered drive ensures low maintenance on all Impulse conveyors. There are no sliding or rotating parts to wear, and no belts or bearings to fail. The electromagnetic drives on all Impulse conveyors are oil free, helping to ensure food safety and product quality, particularly when installed above open product zones.Rugged construction makes Impulse electromagnetic conveyors ideal for industrial applications in harsh operating environments. All units are dust-and moisture-resistant with controls housed in a NEMA 4X rated enclosure to ensure years of trouble-free operation.

Impulse conveyors are energy efficient. A sensor mounted on the conveying bed sends a signal back to the Controller, which automatically adjusts the unit to optimize energy consumption. The sensor also ensures that the conveyor maintains the desired stroke.

Key custom designs each Impulse conveyor, ranging in size from 2 to 36 inches (5 to 91 centimeters) wide and from 1 to 14 feet (.30 meter to 4.27 meters) long to integrate seamlessly with each packaging distribution or processing line. Impulse electromagnetic conveyors can be integrated with other systems in Key's expanding family of vibratory systems, including Iso-Flo(R), Horizon(TM), Marathon(TM), Spiral Elevators, and Forte(TM) control systems, to meet the needs of each processing system or packager.
