New Electrical Terminal from Tyco Electronics Eliminates Post Insulation
HARRISBURG, Pa., August 26- Tyco Electronics today introduced the Ultra-Pod .250 Series FASTON Tab. This new product offers F-crimp wire termination and is applied with an all-in-one applicator that crimps the terminal to wire and inserts it into the insulation housing. Post-insulation processes are not necessary when using this product. The fold-over tab design permits reliable terminations with longer applicator tool life and consistent strand capture due to a more accommodating wire barrel. This product is suitable for quick-connect and power I/O
applications in major appliances, HVAC equipment, power supplies, generators, off-highway vehicles & equipment, buses, trucks and power lawn & garden equipment.
Ultra-Pod .250 Series FASTON Tabs connect with .250 x .032 receptacles and accept 18-10 AWG wire with insulation diameters up to .200. The AMP-O-LECTRIC Model G Press, AMP-O-LECTRIC Model K Press or Entry Level Terminator (ELT) can be used to crimp this product to wire.
Pricing, in strip form at the 4000 quantity level is $.11 per piece. Delivery is generally 10 weeks.
