1000°F Electric Walk-in Oven

No. 946 is an electrically-heated, 1000°F vertical airflow walk-in oven from Grieve, currently used for curing coatings on titanium screens. Workspace dimensions measure 72"W x 156"D x 96" H. 360kW installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular heating elements provide the power, while a 24,500 CFM, 20 HP recirculating blower provides a vertical downward airflow to the workload. This Grieve oven features 8" insulated walls, Type 304L, 2B finish stainless steel interior, stainless steel exterior with #4 brushed finish and 6" insulated floor with integral truck wheel guide tracks for easy loading and unloading. No. 946 has double doors, front and rear, each with inner and outer door gaskets. The inner gasket seals against the door plug, while the outer gasket seals directly against the front of the oven. A removable top-mounted heat chamber (shown removed in photo) is also provided. Safety equipment is onboard for handling flammable solvents, including explosion-venting door hardware. Also featured on this Grieve walk-in oven are a digital programming temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, recirculating blower airflow safety switch and SCR power controller.
