Daimer Industries Announces New Power Washers with Automatic Shutoff Technology®

New 7000 and 9000 models with AST® add a new level of convenience for operators of electric-powered power washers.

WOBURN, MA - April 3, 2009 - Daimer Industries, a leading manufacturer and distributor of commercial cleaning products, introduced two new machines featuring its Automatic Shutoff Technology® (AST®), which switches off key components in electric-powered power washers after 30 seconds of inactivity.

"AST® shuts off the pump and motor when the power washer is idle," said Matthew Baratta, Daimer spokesman. "This is a huge time-saver for power washer operators who are working with a long hose far from the machine. Automatic-shutoff also reduces overheating, and wear and tear on these two key components.

What is AST®?

AST® is a proprietary system that works as follows: When AST® is engaged, it shuts off the pump and motor after 30 seconds, if the gun is not in use and water is not flowing through the system. When the power washer operator pulls the trigger again, the motor and pump go on.

This feature is particularly useful for applications in which the power washer operator is using a long hose, say, more than 25 feet, and it is not practical for them to go back and forth to the machine to turn it off during every break. The pumps and motors in conventional electric power washers remain active whether or not water is flowing through the system, which can damage the motor and pump.

Like Daimer's other electric power washers, the new AST® machines features long-lasting stainless steel heating coils. Often, lower priced units use more fragile aluminum coils, which can be prone to holes and eventual failure and expense coil replacement.

Super Max® 7000 and 9000 Power Washers

The new Super Max® power washers also feature tri-mode technology that allows the systems to provide steam, hot water, and cold water depending on the cleaning application. The units use propane for heating.

Super Max® 7000 power washers offer a flow rate of up to 2.5 GPM and up to 1000 psi of pressure. In addition to coldwater cleaning, the machines offer hot water temperatures of 180° F to 210° F and steam temperatures as high as 330° F.

The Super Max® 9000 offers up to 1500 psi of pressure, a flow rate of up to 2.8 GPM, hot water temperatures of 180° F to 210° F and steam temperatures as high as 250° F.

These mobile power washers are on wheels and include: a 25-foot, high-pressure steam hose; a three-foot trigger wand; four assorted nozzles; and a powder-coated steel, high gloss, chip/chemical resistant case.
