ShopStar(TM) has faster speeds and new capacities
AMHERST, N.Y., U.S.A., March 18-21, 2002 - Columbus McKinnon(R), the leading manufacturer of hoist and chain products in North America, offers its ShopStar(TM) electric chain hoist designed with an H4 duty cycle with the capacity to provide lifting up
to 1000 pounds and 300 motor starts per hour. The small, compact designed Shopstar has a maximum lifting speed of 40 feet per minute when single reeved, while the double reeved units have a maximum lifting speed of 20 feet per minute. Depending upon the lifting capacity needed, the ShopStar weighs between 26 and 34 pounds and may be easily transported and rigged by a single worker.
The ShopStar comes with a totally enclosed non-ventilated rugged cast aluminum alloy hoist frame that thermally protects the hoist duty motor from environmental contamination while the outside has an epoxy powder coat finish for added protection. Other features inside the hoist include precision bearings, a 10-pocket oblique lay liftwheel that provides longer chain wear for the CM hoist alloy load chain, and a dual braking D.C. plus regenerative system.
This U.S.A. made product has a lower latch style hook that is made from hardened forged steel hook and rotates 360° to help ensure a true vertical lift.
The ShopStar comes with a 6 1/2 foot power cord and a molded 3 prong plug on 115 volt units and a rigid hook suspension that prevents tangling of the power cord.
