IAI America, Inc.'s New RCP2 Robo Cylinder is Even More Accurate, Rigid and Easy to use Than the Original
Itasca, IL - (May 3, 2004) IAI America, Inc. made heads turn with its high-performance, low-cost RCP Robo Cylinder, an alternative to air cylinders. Japan's #1 source for single- and multiple-axes Cartesian actuators has done it again with the introduction of its RCP2 Robo Cylinder.
For accuracy and ease of use, the RCP2's controller performs up to 64-point positioning and enables complex movements. Speeds can be changed during slider/rod movement; positioning repeatability is held to ±0.02mm.
IAI's latest Robo Cylinder is big on rigidity and capability, yet it conforms to today's strict sizing requirements. The RCP2's 73mm wide aluminum base provides nearly triple the load capacity of its previous model. And while the RCP2's base is wider, IAI has reduced the size of its controller. About half the volume of its original model, IAI's 35(W) x 163(H) x 68.1(D) controller saves installation space. The ultra-thin head (35mm) of the RCP2's Rod Type can reduce the overall size of your equipment.
Other features of the RCP2 include low maintenance and programmable push force. The RCP2, like all of IAI's Robo Cylinders, costs 67% less to operate compared to air cylinders. Because the Robo Cylinder is an electric actuator, relative power consumption is about 1/3 compared to the power required to operate an air cylinder.
