FCI Introduces New Minitek(TM) Eject Latch Header

ETTERS, PA. (January 29, 2008) - FCI, a leading supplier of connectors and interconnect
systems, introduces its new Minitek(TM) eject latch header.

2mm pitch sizes are increasingly used in board-to-board and wire/cable-to-board modular
connector systems. FCI is one of the leading players in this market with its Minitek(TM)
system, and continues to expand its offering.

The new header mates with ribbon cable receptacles and features two side latches which
both latch the receptacle securely in place and can be used to easily eject it whenever
required. There is also a polarization option and the whole design has the lowest profile of its type. It is particularly suited for applications with high vibration or demanding environments.

FCI already produces an IDC (Insulation Displacement Connection) receptacle, which is
available with or without strain relief, both versions of which mate with the new header.

Minitek(TM) is part of the Basics+ program and as such is extensively supported via the hot line (basics.help@fci.com) and the dedicated microsite www.fci.com/basics where
documentation and much more are readily available.
