Sto BTS® Xtra: New EIFS Lightweight Base Coat



A high-build base coat that is easier to install in StoTherm for applicators

ATLANTA - (March 19, 2009) Sto Corp., the innovative world leader in cladding, coating, and restoration systems, has introduced Sto BTS Xtra, a one-component, polymer-modified, cement based dry powder material used as a lightweight adhesive, base coat and leveler in StoTherm® insulated wall claddings.

These claddings include StoTherm Classic NExT(TM) StoTherm® Lotusan® NExT, and StoQuik® Silver Cement Board Stucco claddings. It can also be used as a lightweight leveler or skim coat on concrete or masonry wall surfaces, including Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) and Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs).

Sto BTS Xtra is a lightweight, high-build base coat and uses lightweight aggregate that will make it easier for contractors to install on the wall as well as moving the material around the jobsite. BTS Xtra will build to ¼" to help level CMU walls and builds to 1/8" for StoQuik Silver systems.
