MONTREAL, Quebec. March 9th, 2006 - Eicon Networks Corporation ("Eicon"), a
global leader in providing world class products and technologies for media
processing, today announced the availability of the evaluation version of
Diva Server SoftIP v2.0-SIP. This release is compatible with SIP (RFC 3261),
the de facto industry standard for IP Telephony and with T.38 for real-time
fax communication over IP networks. Diva Server SoftIP v2.0-SIP complements
Eicon's existing Diva Server SoftIP offering for H.323 environments which
has been available in the market since mid 2004.

Any software application - being either based on industry standard CAPI or
Diva Server API (SDK) programming interfaces - will instantaneously be able
to work with SIP-based IP Phones and Soft-Phones in an IP Telephony
environment. This means Diva Server SoftIP greatly reduces development
effort, time-to-market and costs for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and
system integrators delivering voice and unified communications software
applications and solutions into a market migrating to IP. A single
application can either be deployed in TDM environments using Diva Server
telephony adapters with Analog, ISDN BRI, ISDN PRI and E1/T1 digital
interfaces or in IP Telephony environments using Diva Server SoftIP with
support for SIP, H.323, H.450, RTP and T.38 protocols.

"The seamless TDM/IP hybrid configurations option, allowing a mix of any
Diva Server telephony adapter with Diva Server SoftIP v2.0-SIP in a single
system, is crucial for our partners as part of their solutions for IP
migration", points out Franz-Josef Eberle, Director Product Management at
Eicon Networks. "As we expose a single CAPI driver to the application,
representing Diva Server telephony adapters and Diva Server SoftIP v2.0-SIP
as individual CAPI controllers, there is no change to an existing
application that is based on CAPI or the Diva Server API (SDK). A simple
line-interconnect command is sufficient to bridge a TDM call into a SIP call
and this allows the Diva Server platform to act as PSTN/IP Gateway."

As an industry-first, Diva Server SoftIP v2.0-SIP supports high-speed fax
over IP connections with up to 33.6 kbps fax transmission speed based on the
latest ITU-T T.38 standard. This feature allows fax and unified messaging
applications to fully exploit the advantages of IP communications without
having to compromise the fax transmission performance which T.38 initially
limited to 14.4 kbps only.

Other key benefits of Diva Server SoftIP v2.0-SIP include a rich
implementation of SIP telephony services, such as numbering services, call
hold/retrieve, call transfer and message waiting indicator (MWI) to enable a
complete telephony solution mirroring critical features previously found in
TDM environments. These services are being made possible via support of the
latest extended SIP methods e.g. INFO (RFC 2976), SUBSCRIBE/NOTIFY (RFC
3265) and REFER (RFC 3515).

Diva Server SoftIP v2.0-SIP supports the current Microsoft Windows operating
systems including Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 as well
as the latest Linux versions of RedHat, Suse and Fedora distributions. Diva
Server SoftIP v2.0-SIP introduces a new flexible software licensing system
which is entirely based on software activation keys. This allows licenses to
be generated for any number of channels and for different feature sets. - It
also allows for 30-day evaluation licenses. Commercial products include:
