battenfeld-cincinnati will present its newest developments at the upcoming Argenplás 2014 exhibition at booth E 51. The equipment on show includes highly energy-efficient single and twin screw extruder series, complete PO and PVC pipe and sheet lines.
battenfeld-cincinnati has updated its long-running, bestselling alpha single screw extruder series. The cash-and-carry extruders are avail-able worldwide at standard prices with short delivery times. Due to the improved user-friendliness and the extremely compact footprint, they are ideally suited for use as multi-purpose machines or co-extruders.
Last year, battenfeld-cincinnati demonstrated the enormous energy savings that can be achieved with its innovative Green Pipe concept at an Open House in Germany. There, a 2-layer co-extrusion pressure pipe line was presented that reached an output of 750 kg/h with a line speed of 0.93 m/min. The line consisted of uniEX and solEX single screw extruders and a helix 250-3 VSI-T+ pipe die, battenfeld-cincinnati's Green Pipe downstream equipment, and the EAC drying system from its partner company Labotek. With this set-up, energy savings of 30% were achieved in production.
battenfeld-cincinnati also offers a variety of co-extrusion solutions for both pipe and profile extrusion. For profiles, the company introduced a space-saving and user-friendly piggyback set-up at K 2013 that places the co-extruder on top of the main extruder.
The company's Packaging Division provides energy-efficient extrusion lines for producing PP sheet. At the Open House during K 2013, a line equipped with a high-speed extruder and the new, unique Multi-Touch roll stack was presented in production. The highlights were the absolutely uniform cooling and calibration of the sheet, which is virtually tension-free, with extremely narrow thickness tolerances.
