EDR's Environmental Records Search Tool for Corporations Now Includes Maps and Photos

MILFORD, Conn., Nov. 6 - Environmental Data Resources, Inc. today announced significant enhancements to its online environmental records search tool, EDR OnDemand, including interactive maps, links to aerial photographs, and electronic folders to support the ongoing monitoring of the environmental status of a property or company. These improvements will benefit organizations that need to efficiently conduct environmental research at the earliest stages of corporate real estate transactions.

The enhancements were made as a result of customer feedback, which indicated that clients and prospects wished to review maps and photos associated with the records and reports available inside EDR OnDemand to support best practices in environmental risk management. Subscribers can review a map that indicates where environmental records are located within a ½ mile of the targeted property or address. Users can now link to the major aerial photo sites, including Google, Microsoft and Yahoo Maps, and view birds-eye photos of the targeted property. Both the photos and maps will add to the complete environmental picture that users see when they use EDR OnDemand.

"Reviewing the most complete set of environmental records is critical for companies in a number of ways, including reducing liability caused by vendors and ensuring that companies' waste materials are being properly managed once they leave a facility," said Jon Walker, Managing Director of EDR Corporate, Legal and Government Services. "EDR OnDemand makes it easier to review these records, and now with maps, photos and the ability to monitor changes to the environmental status of a property or company over time, it's even more comprehensive."
