Edifecs Teams with SEEBURGER to Speed B2B Implementations

BELLEVUE, Wash., Dec. 4 -- Edifecs and SEEBURGER today announced a product partnership designed to accelerate B2B implementations by simplifying the process of defining trading partner transaction specifications as well as eliminating the need to manually re-key those specifications during map development. The new capabilities are being achieved through the integration of Edifecs' industry-leading SpecBuilder(TM) schema authoring tool with the SEEBURGER B2B Gateway, a business integration platform used by many of the world's leading manufacturers.

Under the partnership, EDI specifications created in SpecBuilder can be automatically imported into the SEEBURGER Mapping Designer via a new Edifecs export module. This will save time for map developers, reduce the risk of re-keying errors, and ensure that analysts and developers are in sync on EDI data requirements.

In addition, the use of SpecBuilder simplifies specification authoring, distribution and updating for manufacturers utilizing the SEEBURGER platform. Taken together, these tools will help speed the creation, editing, publishing, migration and analysis of B2B business document specifications for organizations around the world.

"Edifecs' support for the Seeburger B2B Gateway provides customers with a powerful mechanism for building and managing complex EDI transaction sets," said Bill Metallo, SEEBURGER Vice President of Sales. "The combination of the two products enables customers to better capture, share and utilize information about their trading partner data requirements in order to build a connected business."

"Supporting the SEEBURGER B2B Gateway underscores Edifecs' commitment to working with the leading e-business platforms and is in step with our vision of making SpecBuilder the de facto tool for all schema and electronic business message creation and management," said Sunny Singh, CEO of Edifecs, Inc. "This partnership further solidifies SpecBuilder's position as the tool of choice for schema authoring and management."
