Performance Technologies Enhances SEGway IP-Edge Signaling Solutions with New Features that are Rock Solid to the Edge
SEGway IP-Edge devices promise to change the landscape of SS7 signaling networks by driving the intelligence of signaling to the edge of the network

SEGway IP-Edge brings powerful capabilities to the edge of the SS7 network, allowing service providers to design signaling networks that realize significant cost benefits. While continuing to leverage legacy investments, carriers can achieve greater efficiency through link consolidation, local routing and core Signal Transfer Point (STP) traffic offload. SEGway IP-Edge's flexible routing options enable the service provider to select a routing schema tailored to their network topology. In cases where consolidated traffic monitoring and billing is required, SEGway's superior advanced routing capability allows service providers to direct all traffic to the core. Alternately, traffic may be processed locally by the IP-Edge, avoiding unnecessary traffic backhaul costs. IP-Edge's complete suite of standards-based interfaces allows any-to-any connectivity within a TDM, ATM or IP-based network, regardless of an operator's current STP vendor.
