Automated Eddy Current Inspection System



UniWest's ETC-2000 eddy current scanner has new software and hardware enhancements for improved inspections of turbofan components including bores, webs, broach slots, boltholes, blades, and scallops. Proven scan plans have also been developed to perform these challenging inspections.

New enhancements include:
o 'Edge Neglect' improves edge detection for slot inspections.
o 'Auto Calibration' integrates fully automated system calibration.
o 'Find X' enhances system intelligence to find a specific surface and stop.
o 'Software Enabling' allows off-line personnel training and analysis of data.
o 'Windowing' improves defect isolation and identification.
o 'Return-to-Indication' remembers where defects are located and automatically returns to that index for further interrogation.
o Software platform is extremely user-friendly Windows(TM) based interface.
