ecobee Wins 2011 AHR Expo® Innovation Award
ecobee Energy Management System winner in Building Automation category
TORONTO - ecobee, maker of the WiFi enabled Smart Thermostat, Energy Management System and Remote Sensor Boards, is the winner of the AHR Expo® Innovation Award. ecobee's products have been honored in two categories. ecobee's commercial application, the Energy Management System won in the Building Automation category and ecobee's residential application, the Smart Thermostat, received an honorable mention in the Green Building category.

The Innovation Awards are given each year to recognize the most innovative HVACR products showcased at the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo®). The competition is jointly sponsored by International Exposition Company (IEC), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). It is intended to encourage innovation and to provide funds to a charitable organization in the city where the Expo is held.
Winners of the 2011 awards are determined by a panel of judges selected by ASHRAE Journal for its knowledge of the industry and its products. Awards are presented in nine product categories. ecobee will be recognized at an awards ceremony at the AHR Expo® in Las Vegas and will receive placards for their booth that designates their product as an AHR Expo Innovation Awards winner. ecobee will be featured in a special section of ASHRAE Journal.
