Eaton Expands Wind Energy Business in China with $1.5 Million Customer Agreement

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. ... Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation (NYSE:ETN) announced today that it will provide key wind power technologies to Guodian United Power Technology Company Ltd. Guodian is among Eaton's major wind energy customers in China, and the agreement will generate approximately USD $1.5 million in revenues annually for Eaton. "This important new business with Guodian demonstrates Eaton's capabilities as a major provider of wind power hydraulics and reinforces our position as the company that leading wind turbine manufacturers are turning to the most for hydraulics expertise," said Howard Liu, general manager of Eaton's Hydraulics Group in Greater China. Eaton's Hydraulics Group based in Shanghai will supply hydraulic power units equipped with Vickers® and Integrated Hydraulics(TM) screw-in cartridge valves for yaw and shaft braking functions on Guodian wind turbines produced in Hebei Province. Eaton will also supply Aeroquip® MatchMate Plus® hose and Winner fittings for braking system functions.
