Eaton Expands Stacklight Portfolio to Improve Process Control and Equipment Availability in Industrial Applications

PITTSBURGH - Power management company Eaton today announced the release of a new range of stacklight solutions designed to improve control over key processes and enhance machine availability in industrial applications. With the ability to display up to five processes at once and configure a range of audible notifications, the new Eaton SL series stacklights are engineered to enable safe and convenient oversight of machine processes.

"Using stacklights is a highly efficient method of monitoring equipment to stay informed about material requirements, downtime and hazards," said Liz Macharia, product manager at Eaton. "With the expanded SL series, Eaton combines attention-grabbing performance with a robust design to enhance control over key processes in the most demanding industrial environments."

The modular and compact design of the SL7 and SL4 stacklights allows for easy configuration even in applications where space is limited. Available in two sizes, the 70-millimeter (SL7) and 40-millimeter (SL4) stacklights are engineered to simplify the configuration of unique lighting, mounting and signaling combinations. A unique twist and lock feature enables easy dismantling and mounting of complete towers in the field, allowing modules to be easily interchanged with a simple twist.

Versatile mounting hardware helps simplify installation and minimize downtime, while efficient light-emitting diode (LED) technology in six color choices provides visibility in the most demanding conditions. To provide a solution for environments with high noise levels and distractions, the stacklights are also designed with innovative audible features to enable reliable notification and machine oversight.

With an Ingress Protection 66 rating (IP66), the SL series stacklights provide the highest degree of environmental protection against particulates in the industry, and a high level of protection against water. To further enhance performance in demanding industrial applications, the stacklights are engineered with an operating temperature range of 22 to140 degrees Fahrenheit and light emitting diodes (LEDs) that provide a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours.

Additionally, the SL series stacklights can be integrated with Eaton SmartWire-DT®, an intelligent control panel wiring solution, to dramatically reduce installation time, commissioning and maintenance.
