New E-STOP Pushbuttons from PILZ

"Added safety for every requirement"

(CANTON, MI) With the PITestop, Pilz Automation Safety is presenting a new range of emergency stop pushbuttons, characterized by an ideal ergonomic design and robust structure. A special safety contact block prevents contact elements on the PITestop from being released without detection. PITestop emergency stop pushbuttons in conjunction with Pilz control technology supply a complete safety solution for a wide range of industrial applications.

The PITestop is available in a number of different types. A black ring at the actuator base makes it easy to detect when it is has been operated, even from a distance. The PITestop is also available with illumination and with a black actuator to issue a STOP for an area shutdown.

The safety contact block in the PITestop range ensures that the E-STOP is triggered immediately if individual contact elements are lost or attached incorrectly. High-quality contact elements mean that even very low currents in the safety circuit (1mA) can be controlled. Safety contact blocks have either one or two N/C contacts plus an additional N/O contact. Alternatively, signal contacts are available via the PSEN ix1 interface, which can connect up to four emergency stop buttons in series.

The mushroom-type pushbuttons are designed to IP65 and are turn-to-release devices, either clockwise or counter-clockwise. A key-release version is also available.

The new PITestop emergency stop pushbuttons are suitable for applications up to Category 4 in accordance with EN 954-1. They also meet the new requirements of IEC/EN 60947-5-5 and ISO/IEC 13850 (EN 418).
