Dymax Makes Dramatic UV Light Curing Flood Lamp Improvements
In response to the needs of the assembly and coatings market, DYMAX Corp. announces several UV flood lamp improvements.
Longer Bulb Warranty - The warranty for DYMAX flood lamp bulbs has been doubled - these bulbs now come with a 2,000 hour warranty! DYMAX offers two types of bulbs for UV curing; P/N 36970 produces a broad UV spectral distribution suitable for inks and thin coatings. P/N 38560 provides a greater concentration of long-wave UV and visible wavelengths for thicker bond lines and potting applications. For visible light curing, DYMAX offers P/N 36658 which may be used with visible curing adhesives for UV sensitive applications. DYMAX offers two versions of its 400W UV flood lamp, the 2000-EC (8″ x 8″, 75 mW/cm2) and the 5000-EC (5″ x 5″, 225 mW/cm2). These flood lamps provide 1 to 30 second cures (typically) for any of the hundreds of UV curing adhesives, sealants, and coatings that DYMAX offers.
New Curtain Material - A new curtain material for the DYMAX ZIP(TM) Shutter has been developed, a material that results in longer lifetime before replacement is required. The DYMAX Zip Shutter is electrically driven and offers both foot pedal and PLC controlled exposure from 1 to 99 seconds.
New Flood Selector Guide - In addition to the above improvements, the DYMAX Flood Lamp Selector Guide, LIT206, has been revised. This literature helps customers select the most appropriate UV flood lamp, shutter, and shielding options for their application. The Flood Selector Guide is available for download at www.dymax.com.
