DVS CLIPSTER® Serves up DALSA Origin 4K 'Western' Footage at NAB

At NAB (April 24th to 27th) DVS Digital Video Systems will showcase in booth SL2964 new features of its award winning CLIPSTER® conforming, editing and finishing system using high resolution 4K resolution footage shot with the DALSA Origin, the world's first and only commercially available 4K cinematography camera.

Las Vegas. The DALSA Origin "Western" footage, which was shot at the Paramount ranch, a well known "old west" set in the Los Angeles area, will highlight CLIPSTER's ability to conform, edit and finish uncompressed motion picture content at full 4K RGB, 16-bit. For many NAB visitors, this will be the first opportunity to see 4K digitally captured footage edited and then displayed on a 4K projector in real-time.

"Featuring the DALSA Origin footage in the DVS booth at NAB was a logical choice for us," said DVS President Peter Spoer. "The 4K Origin material is truly stunning, which gives us a great opportunity to highlight the unique capabilities of the CLIPSTER® 4K workflow."

"We are very pleased to have our Origin 4K footage in the DVS booth," commented John Coghill, Vice President and General Manager of DALSA's Digital Cinema division. "I think a lot of visitors to NAB this year will be pleasantly surprised to see that they can not only capture at 4K today, but that workflow tools such as the CLIPSTER® are rapidly being adopted."
