Airguard Dust Cartridges Feature 100% Spun Bond Polyester Media

February 12, 2004. Louisville, KY Airguard is now manufacturing dust cartridges made with 100% spun bond polyester media for use in pulse-jet dust collectors. Pulse Jets are widely used where there are dusts from food and grain processing, woodworking, metalworking, chemical or plastics manufacturing, paper-making, or mining operations.

The spun bond media has high initial efficiency, high filtration efficiencies on fine particulate, and excellent dust cake release characteristics. The media is long-wearing, and highly resistant to abrasion. Cartridges are washable for repeated use and resist most chemicals, including many acids, alkalis, oxidizing agents and solvents.

Specialized medias are also available. An aluminized media is offered for static dissipation, where it's desirable for safety or better material handling. Airguard aluminized media is also ideal for cartridges used in powder coating operations.

Also available is PTFE (polytrafluoroethylene) laminated media. PTFE cartridges are engineered specifically for dusts with high moisture content. They provide high initial efficiency, and are suitable for higher-temperature use.

Cartridges are available in a wide selection of sizes, to fit major brands of pulse-jet dust collectors.
