DuraComm Takes Smart Charging, Battery Back-Up and Battery Management to Improved Levels with Three New Products

DuraComm has recently introduced three new products that focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness of users' battery systems.

North Kansas City, MO June 15, 2006 -- DuraComm Corporation debuted several new products at the 2006 International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas, Nevada last month. Among those were three that focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness of users' battery systems.

The DT-2012-BBSC is a desk-top power supply (with a VDC range of 13-16) that has built-in smart charging capability. This new unit provides 20 Amps of continuous power and 7 Amps of battery charging. Power Factor Correction (PFC) improves efficiency and thereby saves energy costs. The charging component maintains the external battery in optimal condition. It easily combines with the LPH Radio Hoods for Desk Top Base Station configurations. The DT-2012-BBSC can be depended on to provide a seamless transfer to battery back-up when power fails.

Also making its debut was the RU1-2012-BMS. This one-rack-unit-high power supply offers all of the features and benefits of the DT-2012-BMS plus low voltage disconnect and diode isolation. It is a power supply and a fully functional battery management system in one light weight (7.5 pounds) box.

The DCS-N1 is the third of the new product introductions. It is a 19" rack mount battery back-up module that is usable with 12, 24 and 48 VDC systems. It provides connection of 2 power sources for "N+1" redundancy and double output protection with diode isolation. It is designed to handle 5-75 VDC up to 50 Amps.

Each of these new products comes with the standard 2 year DuraComm warranty.
