The 4167 is a dual type III Mini-PCI adapter for the PC/104-PLUS (PCI-ONLY) bus. The 4167 allows use of 2 Mini-PCI cards like IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN cards in a PC/104-PLUS system. The 4167 uses a PCI bus bridge so that only one PC/104-PLUS 'slot' is required. The PCI bridge also isolates the Mini-PCI cards from the system, allowing MiniPCI cards to be used in systems with 5V busses.
On card jumpers are used to select which PC104-PLUS slot the 4167 occupies. Status LEDs are provided for the Mini-PCI slots, plus a connector is available for external LEDs. A local regulator supplies 3.3V power to the Mini-PCI slots.
