IBC'S New 8000 Series Controller for Two Doors can be Powered Directly over Cat5 Cable



IBC (International Bar Code) has introduced a door access controller that can utilize the company's PoE (Power over Ethernet) EzPower technology to eliminate the need for an external power supply for either the controller, readers or door strikes. The Ethernet enabled 8000 Series OEM controller supports barcode, magstripe and proximity readers and is designed to control two doors.

This versatile IBC unit, which can be used as either a stand alone or online controller, is simple to install and results in reduced installation costs. Interface options include TCP/IP, RS232, USB and RS422. With space for more than 30,000 IDs, the 8000 controller supports First Person In and Holiday/Shutdown schedules. It also provides the advantage of an audit trail with circular buffer.
