Enclosed Dual Column Saw Provides Cleaner Working Environment
DoALL's new model C-3350NC production saw features an enclosed cabinet to contain chips and cutting fluid during high-speed operations and large 21" diameter band wheels mounted on the dual columns for enhanced stability. The workpiece vise is positioned on the out board side of the saw blade for minimal remnant lengths as little as 3" versus 5" for most saws - a 40% reduction in size, which can deliver significant savings in large production runs and when cutting expensive metals.
Maximum workpiece capacity is 13" high by 13" wide for both rectangular and round stock and the machine can handle pieces as small as 1/2". A 10-hp AC inverter band drive motor powers a 1-1/2" blade with infinitely variable band speeds from 50 to 400 fpm.
NC controls with a touch screen console can store as many as 20 different jobs and allows the operator to easily program the saw's automatic indexing from 16" to as little as 1/2" with a rapid vise index control for up to ten cycles. A powered chip conveyor, an integral cooling pump that applies coolant through the saw guides, and a powered band brush all add to the saw's high-speed capability.
The saw also features automatic work height and out-of-stock sensors and a band break switch that automatically shuts down the machine in the event of saw blade breakage.
