Model 7289 Dual-Channel DB37 AB Switch Features Both Telnet and GUI Interface

Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, announces the Model 7289 dual-channel DB37 A/B switch with Telnet and GUI interface to 10-Base-T remote control. The Model 7289 switch enables sharing a single port interface device connected to the COMMON port among two other devices connected to the A and B ports for each channel. Remote access can be accomplished using an Ethernet 10-Base-T connection and either Telnet commands or Graphical User Interface (GUI).

The Model 7289 features switch ports that are transparent to all data. The Model 7289 simultaneously switches both channels between positions A and B. This switch is IP Addressable. Remote switching is via a 10-Base-T RJ45 Ethernet port. The switch features remote connection for monitoring and control for up to (4) simultaneous TCP/IP connections. Communicate with the switch via TELNET session.

The remote GUI interface allows the user to control the switch position, "Managed" state and "Managed" state timeout. The remote control features allows the user to lockout the front-panel via the "Managed" state. Local switching is via two front-panel push-buttons; one for A and one for B. Status LED's on the front-panel indicate the switch position, "Managed" state, and power status. The Model 7289 maintains its position and continues to pass data during a power loss. The switch powers up in the last known position.

A total of 25 signals are supported per channel. Twenty-four pins of the DB37 interface are switched: pins 6 through 10, 12 through 19, 25 through 28, and 30 through 36.

The Model 7289 is housed in an attractive anodized aluminum black box packaging that provides EMI/RFI shielding. A slim rack-mount configuration is standard for this switch. The dimensions are 19.0" W x 1.75" H x 8.0" D (48.3 x 4.4 x 20.3 cm). The switch weighs approximately 4.5 lbs. (2.0 Kg).

A wide range power module that is ideal for international applications is supplied with the Model 7289. This power module is a CE and UL listed table mount module with 100VAC/240VAC, 50Hz/60Hz operation.
