L-com Introduces Dual-Band 4x4 MIMO Outdoor Omni-Directional Antenna
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – L-com Global Connectivity, a preferred manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, announced today that it has launched a dual-band 4x4 multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) outdoor Omni-directional antenna.
L-com's HyperLink® brand HG245806U-4-series antennas were developed to work seamlessly with popular new dual-band MIMO access points.
Unlike typical pole-style Omni-directional antennas, the HG245806U-4-series antenna features a compact and unobtrusive UV-resistant radome, making it durable and rugged. Designed specifically for MIMO applications, the HG245806U-4-series operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequencies, allowing the radio to select the optimal frequency for obtaining the highest data rates. Â
"The HG245806U-4-series is a new type of antenna that is able to support the new IEEE 802.11ac standard as well as the existing 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n standards. It is ideal for use with 4x4 MIMO radios because it features four separate 3-foot antennas leads. Each lead is dual-band and supports both 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bandwidths," said Ken Burgner, Product Manager.
This antenna features a modern design to help it blend into most environments and structures, and is available with either RP-TNC plug connectors or RP-SMA plug connectors.
