DSTI Designs Coolant Solution for Leading Steel Recycler
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - A world leading steel recycler relied on DSTI's engineering team to design a coolant transfer solution needed for a ladle furnace turret system.
DSTI was challenged with designing a large, rugged 10 passage rotary union that integrated into an existing rotary table to rotate an up to 300 ton pouring ladle.
The solution provided a reliable and maintenance-free cooling system that critically improved service downtime during uninterrupted casting operations.
DSTI's proven experience with specialized rotary unions for steel production utilize high performance seal materials to improve performance and durability under the toughest operating conditions.
