Original Press Release:

Acrison Ruggedly Built Model 170 Series Feeders Designed with a Uniquely Versatile Metering Mechanism that Features Both ‘Self Emptying’ And ‘Quick-Discharging’ Capabilities

Acrison, Inc., an innovative global leader in dry solids metering and handling technologies for over 50 years, offers their Model 170 Dry Solids Feeders with a versatile metering mechanism that provides both “self-emptying” and “quick-discharging” capabilities along with easy-clean features.

Available in six different models with a feed range from 0.0012 to 900 cu. ft. /hr., Model 170 Series Feeders are ideally suited for applications where rapid product changeover is a requirement and where near-zero downtime is critical. These all steel, industrial-duty feeders easily and accurately handle a wide variety of dry solid materials, and are the only feeders available with a unique discharge port to enable rapid and complete emptying of product when required.

Available as either a volumetric feeder or as the metering mechanism for certain Acrison “weight-loss” weigh feeders, the Model 170 Series offers users a broad choice of options including quick-disconnect and sanitary construction with swing-out and tilt-back hoppers on certain models to facilitate cleaning. In addition, several Model 170 Series Feeders are available with two independently driven metering augers, which together provide an extremely wide feed range without the need to change feed augers.
