New RIDGID/Kollmann(R) K-6200 Drum Machine Combines Lightweight Technology and Durable Performance

ELYRIA, OH - January 2002 - Ridge Tool Company is introducing the RIDGID/Kollmann K-6200 professional drain cleaning machine, a sleek 5/8" drum-style machine capable of cleaning the toughest root and hardened grease blockages in sewers and drains up to 6" in diameter and 200' long.

The K-6200 is constructed of a solid, double tubular steel frame, designed to be lightweight and maneuverable for ease of loading and unloading into a service vehicle and getting to and from the jobsite. Its small, well balanced footprint and low center of gravity give it a stable, unmoving base to work from, that securely anchors the machine.

The K-6200's rugged, corrosion resistant polyethylene drum is rust and dent proof. The drum includes a torque limiter, designed to prevent cable flip-over. The torque limiter causes the drum to stop spinning when the cable torques, greatly reducing the chance for the cable to flip over inside the drum or in the operator's hands.

The unit features a direct-drive, adjustment-free drive train. The drum nests tightly onto the drive gear and never requires adjustments or attention during operation. The gearbox is driven by a powerfuL yet quiet, 4/10 HP universal motor that gears down as obstructions are encountered during the drain cleaning process.

The K-6200 is offered with standard, tempered steel IC cable, (inner core) and its new IW cable (integral wound), a more durable solid core alternative cable. Standard equipment also
includes autofeed, footswitch, GFCI line cord, cord wraps, a complete set of cutters and gloves, a toolbox and a set of machine legs used for operating the machine in a reclined position.
