Driver Safety System helps prevent fatigue/distraction incidents.

Press Release Summary:

Using sensors and image processing technology to protect fleet and drivers, GUARDIAN works in real-time to prevent incidents before they happen. Intelligent driver safety solution, which tracks micro-movements of driver's eye and head to identify fatigue and distraction events, produces in-cab audio and seat vibration alerts to prevent incident. If incident occurs, BlackVue forward-facing camera with wide angle lens records road in front with complete visibility of driver's environment.

Fleet Transport has a New 'GUARDIAN'

GUARDIAN for fleet: world-leading, real-time, fatigue, distraction, and incident-prevention technology by Seeing Machines

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- With one in eight traffic fatalities in the U.S. involving a truck, and fatigue the major factor, risk management has never been more important for fleet operators.

"The technology is finally here to enable fleet to put drivers and vehicles on the road and keep them safer than ever before," said Ken Kroeger, CEO, Seeing Machines.

"Seeing Machines' GUARDIAN offers a holistic risk management solution that prevents incidents before they happen, protecting your fleet and drivers. Fatigue and distraction events are recorded for analysis to better understand and mitigate the dangers that may impact the driver and the company."

"Once the issues of fatigue management are addressed, fleet managers are free to consider more efficient scheduling, which can save money. It's a win-win scenario."

GUARDIAN is an intelligent driver safety solution that works in real-time, using advanced sensors and image processing technology. It tracks the micro-movements of a driver's eye and head to identify a fatigue or distraction event. When an event is detected, the driver receives in-cab audio and seat vibration alerts to provide immediate intervention to prevent an incident.

GUARDIAN also features a BlackVue forward-facing camera with wide angle lens. If an incident occurs, this camera records the road in front, giving complete visibility of the driver's environment.

Mr. Kroeger said the addition of Seeing Machines' GUARDIAN SafeGuard Program offered drivers and fleet round-the-clock protection, without invasive constant surveillance.

"GUARDIAN only starts recording when it detects a fatigue or distraction event. Then, data is transmitted to our 24/7 SafeGuard Center for live analysis. The GUARDIAN System is focused on incident prevention, mitigation, and saving lives - not driver surveillance.

"And we know it works. We've successfully detected more than two million events and prevented more than 30,000 fatigue and distraction incidents to date.

"The equation is simple: drivers and fleet are always going to be safer using GUARDIAN," Mr. Kroeger said.

Seeing Machines invites you to demo GUARDIAN at the Mid-America Trucking Show on the 31(st) March 2016, Stand No 12080.

Seeing Machines is also showcasing Guardian at the National Private Truck Council 2016 Education Management Conference & Exhibition at Stand No. 843 from the 24(th) -26(th) April.
