Original Press Release:

'Live Tools' Offer Top European Quality

The endurance, strength and accuracy of Mimatic® Driven Tools have made them the tools of choice in Europe. Mimatic tool housings are not cast. They are machined from solid blocks of a special aluminum alloy - producing lighter tools that have tighter tolerances and greater durability and accuracy. The units have more spindle bearings than other brands. Optimum concentricity is achieved by pre-stressing these precision bearings. This, plus a back-to-back arrangement, ensures strength and accuracy.

Gears are hardened and ground. Tool spindles are precision ground and only high performance seals are used. Mimatic driven tools run visibly smoother and quieter.

Zettl Mimatic offers driven tools for CNC lathes, machining centers and mills as: A) Standard Mimatic Compact Monoblock driven tools which are attached to machine specific shanks; B) Mimatic Modular systems; and C) Customized single or multispindle tool units for unique machines or workpieces - per the customer's print or workpieces.

In addition to the standard collet arbor per DIN 6499, Mimatic connections include Weldon DIN 1835 B or Whistle-Notch DIN 1835 B, Sandvik Coromant CAPTO, Komet ABS, Widia UTS/Kennametal KM, Face Mill Arbors and many more. All the single and multispindle units allow a choice of tool styles: Straight or angle; 1:1 or up/down speeding; coolant through spindle or nozzles; inline or offset; Y-axis; adjustable angle; sawblade; etc.
