StorCase Introduces Faster SATA Removable D2D Backup Solution

New Data Express(R) Hot Swappable Enclosures for 3.5" SATA Drives Provide 3Gbps Support and Dantz(R) Backup Software.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 14 - StorCase(R) Technology, a world leader in data-protective hard drive storage solutions, today announced its next generation disk-to-disk (D2D) backup solution with the release of new Data Express DX115 removable drive enclosures that support up to 3Gbps Serial ATA (SATA) host connections and feature Dantz Retrospect(R) backup software.

D2D backup solutions are rapidly becoming a preferred alternative to traditional tape backup. Compared to tape, D2D backup technology offers higher transfer speeds, (performance improvements as high as 200%); lower costs (savings up to 50% over comparable tape solutions); greater ease of use and 100% accuracy for restored data. The new Data Express DX115 backup solution for 3.5" SATA drives further increases D2D backup speed with a direct 3Gbps SATA host connection.

"Data Express disk-to-disk backup solutions are designed specifically with unique features intended for small to medium-sized companies considering an alternative to the limitations and hassles associated with tape backup technology," said Diane Noneman, Manager of Product Development, StorCase. "Our DX115 combines a uniquely compact and adaptable carrier design with the cost-effectiveness and latest levels of performance that our customers demand," added Noneman.

Rugged and versatile, Data Express products offer the highest frame to carrier interface connector ratings in the industry and exceed operating specification guidelines defined by leading drive manufacturers. Built-in quality details ensure ongoing performance in continuous drive swapping applications and provide the ultimate protection for high-performance drives.
