New Drilling Technology on Display at IMTS
Chicago, IL... KOMET of America, Inc., a worldwide supplier of metalcutting tools will feature their new KUB Quatron® drill. KOMET can be found in Booth E-2704 at IMTS 2002.
The innovative design of the KUB Quatron® provides a unique solution to indexable drilling. Its structural design provides exceptional directional stability making it an ideal choice in high speed machining operations. The four edge design enables end-users a variety of positions of square carbide inserts. This
flexibility of design not only allows for efficiency of cuts, but also extends the life of inserts. In addition, the four edge design delivers increased chip evacuation while reducing flute erosion and overall lower tooling costs.
