Draw Wire Encoders are suited for harsh environments.

Press Release Summary:

Kübler by TURCK series transducers measure linear displacements from 1-40 m. Rotary encoder or potentiometer is connected to spring loaded drum, which automatically retracts wire to angular position. Mini Draw Wire is available in 1 or 2 m lengths with incremental or analog outputs, while longer units are available with incremental, absolute, or Fieldbus outputs. All feature temperature and aging compensation as well as short-circuit and reverse polarity protection.

Introducing Kübler by TURCK's Full Line of Industrial Draw Wire Encoders Perfect for Harsh Environments!

Minneapolis, MN-July 16, 2004-TURCK Inc. announces "Kübler by TURCK's" full line of Industrial Draw Wire encoders. These rugged transducers are a cost effective way to measure linear displacements from 1 to 40 meters in the most demanding industrial environments. Common applications include crane operation, elevators, forklifts and scissor jacks. With an expected life of up to 1,000,000 cycles, the robust "Kübler by TURCK" Draw Wire encoders are perfect in these harsh environments.

Draw wire transducers utilize a drum on which a measuring wire is wound. A rotary encoder or potentiometer is connected to the spring loaded drum which automatically retracts the wire to an angular position.

Our Mini Draw Wire (TD5.XXXX) is available in either 1 or 2 meter lengths with Incremental or Analog outputs. The longer length units (series TD8.XXXX) are offered in lengths from 2 meters to 40 meters, and are available with either Incremental, Absolute or Fieldbus outputs. Virtually any 58 mm "Kübler by TURCK" encoder can be installed onto the "TD8" style Draw wire housing, giving the customer a wide array of solutions for any design requirements. All of the Draw Wire encoders also have temperature and aging compensation, as well as short-circuit and reverse polarity protection.
