NEW BRITAIN, CT/December 2, 2003 - Parker's Fluid Control Division, purveyors of the Skinner(TM), Gold Ring(TM), R Series, Lucifer, Scem, and Sinclair Collins(TM) lines of solenoid and process control valves, announces the availability of its new drain valve designed for numerous applications, including the food industry.

Parker Fluid Control Division's new drain valve is a two-way, normally opened solenoid valve, compatible with hot water, steam, and de-scaling solutions. It can withstand media temperature of up to 220 degrees Fahrenheit and ambient temperature of up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The valve is available in standard AC voltages, with a Cv (flow rate) of 4.5. The valve body holds CSA and CE approvals; the coil and leads are UL listed, and the enclosure meets NEMA 4 standards. With opening and closing response times of one to two seconds, and a life expectancy of up to 300,000 continuous cycles, the new drain valve is designed to provide effective, predictable performance in cooking equipment applications.
